Scholarship Award Requirements and Deadlines
- Fill out the form completely. If more space is required, attach separate sheet(s).
- Provide a personal letter (not more than two type-written pages/double spaced) in support of your application, explaining any special circumstances which may have a bearing on your application, how your law school tuition is being financed, along with your current official law school transcripts. You may also provide no more than two letters of reference.

- The CLA will review applications on the basis of scholastic ability, character, activities, and any other information provided on or with the application. Financial need may also be considered. All applications and material sent in connection therewith, will become the property of CLA and cannot be returned. All applicants, if necessary, may be required to submit to an oral interview by the Scholarship Committee. The application must be signed by the applicant.
The Columbian Lawyers Association of the 1st Dept. will provide up to five $1,500 Scholarship Awards to assist deserving and qualified individuals to further their legal education during the 2007-2008 academic year. The scholarship recipients will be notified of selection during late October or early November 2007, and are expected to attend an awards event to be sponsored by CLA at a date and time to be announced.
